Green light to the construction of line 7 of Metro de Santiago

The project for the new line 7 of the Santiago Metro, which will cross the city from east to west, received approval for its environmental impact study. The works will begin at the end of the year and will be completed by 2027. In addition to other extensions underway and with a high percentage of progress, the network of the trans-Andean capital will reach 174 km in length in a few more years.

GOOSE feedback

GOOSE would like to highlight that Santiago Metro has already advanced with some tenders, such as the purchase of 37 new automatic driving trains, launched at the beginning of this year. Tenders for “environmental mitigation, communication systems, platform doors and centralized command and detailed engineering of stations were also started. At the same time, “equipment tenders” are about to begin, including “escalators and elevators, toll gates and automatic payment machines, and forced ventilation,”.
