IFC grants a loan of up to 200 million dollars to support green finance in Colombia

In order to increase access to climate finance, IFC announced the granting of a loan of up to USD$200 million to Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria Colombia (BBVA Colombia), one of the largest banks in the country, with the objective of promoting a financial sector greener to support the nation’s goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050.

The IFC is the private financing arm of the World Bank. The loan will mostly focus on Green building, but also sustainable Agriculture and Renewable energy.
