With this project, it is expected that the distance of the current road will be reduced by 30 kilometers and by 65% of the travel time. The president of Colombia has confirmed that the project would be approved and the bidding would begin in 2022. For the construction of this project, $ 3.1 billion (capex) will be invested, that is, US $ 873.6 million that will be sold from private companies.
